Every where there is clearly mention the height of bridge far before the bridge you are going enter . and every driver should know about the height of his truck. Just to avoid such kind of incidents. Have a nice drive ..

Having been a cartransporter driver for 30 years and my load height changing by the minute day hour.It is the drivers legal responsability to know the height of his rig at all times. All bridges in the Uk 16 ft 6 and under must be marked up by an advanced height warning and then on the bridge itself,
In the car transporter industry this bridge hit is classed as gross misconduct and instant dismissal
-
trident trucking , you are wrong 5th wheels are generally a standard height from the ground , give or take 100 mm....this is just poor driving ...no excuses
-
them trailers can be a pain, trouble is when our jumping from unit to unit the fifth wheels are diffrent hiegh so he could have been 16ft but in a scania be 14ft 8, but the driver should have stopped to look first. well thats a £15k trailer in for re roofing and supporting.

You can do it when you b&q it
Everyone knows you need two trucks to transport a bridge that size.. I mean c'mon!!
