An amazing sounding horn, what a shame that none of these are still in use. Glad one atleast has been preserved. Great video!

Have you heard of the game Trainz?
Some guy had a recording of the first horn blow in the video put on one of the trains.

What and awesome great sounding horn! I suppose owning one is out of the question!

Hearing this is also "bittersweet" for me as a wonderful friend of mine who was a SCL locomotive engineer that often ran Amtrak SDP40fs, passed away in 09. Inspite of the derailment issues on some lines, he told me that liked the SDP's great pulling power and never had a problem running them.

@DeltaPhi79 Thats not odd its howw its supposed to be done!!!

Since I really can never tell the difference in a lot of horns, this sounds almost identical to a K-5LA to me lol. And I find it odd how in almost EVERY video that someone blows a horn on their truck that they do the railroad crossing signal.

Awesome SL-4T! I wish I could see one in person.

@nssd70m2 They sound a D# Chord just like a K5H.
ACL Tony, you are absoluty right! I have many audio clips I made of the SDP's with the Leslie's sounding like they should. K-5LA's started to appear in the 80's.
