Here I am doing a run through of Coldplay's song "Yellow". I just did a little bit of tweaking on the bass drum and snare. I did not mix in with the song so you could here what my drums actually sound like.

I used my MacBook Pro with GarageBand. The audio interface I was going through was a Line6 Tone Port UX8. I used the CAD PRO mics with the exception of the condenser. Only used one and that was the MXL 991.

  • Where did you place the mic?

  • @JohnRyanWake The pictures show the close mic'ing. The MXL 991 was placed about four to five feet above, aimed down towards the snare.

  • gave you got the black suedes (remo) on your tom's when the answer is yes how do the sound and are they any good?

    Rock on \m/

  • @kijkenify

They are good if you want a thicker tom sound. They are pretty dull. The actual kit, besides the snare, are cheaply made and wasn't able to get a good sound outta them. :/ I'd assume those heads would rock on some nice toms.
