  • Just tried the first bottle - very very good!

  • There is a small orchard at the farm where we renovated the cider making machinery, with 6 trees with different varieties of apples on, but no idea of the varieties! To these we added a 5% assortment of eating apples from my garden. I tested the resulting juice with a hydrometer and it looks like it will ferment out as reasonably dry with 5.5% alcohol. i don't think in such a large amount of cider (450 Litres) it matters too much what varieties you use in a mix.

  • What are the best breton cider apples varieties?

What percentage mix of bitter/ sweet/ acid apples do you use for a breton character cidre?
