Apple recently released an update to their iBooks application, and have included a new feature for the education market - Textbooks for the iPad. Check out this video to see what Textbooks on the iPad can do.

  • Thank you ladyvista. The brief glimpse of the flash card was really just a visual of the note-taking function, but I held off on going too much into the Flash Cards in an effort to keep the video as brief as possible. But the feature is cool enough that it warrants its own video, which you'll see pretty soon in a followup video. Thanks again.

  • Super! So timely, too. I read an article today in the L.A. Times about the textbooks on the iPad. It was interesting to see the highlighting and the brief glimpse of a flash card. (Maybe that's why it's called a flash card!) Love the chiropractor joke. But, very true. Our granddaughters are lugging some serious weight in their backpacks. The schools change books all the time. Will the Apple textbooks be synchronized with schools' booklists?
