Okay so it's got the fire hazard stuff covered.. They probably sprayed it with a special coating anyway.. But what about RF shielding? Can't really get around that without using metal.

I'm not worried about the cardboard catching fire, I'm worried about you destroying your components due to lack of ventilation. I get that the corrugation works as vents, but I'm skeptical as to how well.

Ok whilst i agree with people that in normal operation this machine should be fine. However, supposing the PSU were to blowout - something i've personally experienced, and happens quite frequently (in terms of faliures it's quite a common one esp. in an electrical storm) a Std pc case would stand up to this as the psu is screwed to metal, and has metal above it. Many machines operate unsupervised...

The cumbustibiliy point of cardboard from heat is 800 degrees F. That is why you can cook a frozen pizza in your oven on the disc of cardboard that it comes on and it doesn't catch on fire. If the case was to catch on fire it would be because an internal component caught fire first. The case would not catch fire from ambient heat of the electronic parts...and there is an abundance of ventilation for the parts that they never get hot.

Yeah i know those fools think they are smart bij copy pasting comments.
Beside that it's really hard to make cardboard catch on fire.
Even with a good flame it wont burn that wel.
So a 30/40c temp wont do shit.
