On November 20, 2007 over 4,000 writers, actors, crew members, and other supporters marched down Hollywood Blvd. in an impressive show of labor solidarity. Among them - Ray Romano, Patton Oswalt, and, oh yeah, Alicia Keys!

I'm not going to the movies for my birthday as planned until they settle this strike. I'm not buying DVDs. I'm not downloading tv shows. I'm not buying any products advertised on any tv shows. I will try to rent only foreign movies. I wanted to see The Golden Compass and No Country for Old Men...Oh well. I'll just have to read the books again: old media!

Clever pun. Maybe you should be a writer. But if you have a beef, it's with the news media. It's not the job of tv/movie writers to educate the public.

I do hope the writers go back to work soon so they can support their families and maybe, just maybe they can write about issues that really matter this time around.

People will do what they want anyways. Also, in a world with chaos, people also need entertainment to keep them from going insane. "bad" people will stay "bad" if they want to and those who aren't focused on the negativity will find ways, if they want to, to support each other and keep their heads up.
