  • good call on asking him about that missing cam, the common rail provides enough pressure to where the cam was unecessary to actuate the injectors anymore.

  • Just a remimder to all of the genious people posting here. It's a $10,000 fine per instance on tampering with emissions control devices.

  • looks a lot like the DD15 and a lot worse to work on than the last isx. Personal from working on and with the earlier isx engines once you do a delete of the dpf and egr they are a very good engine and almost double there fuel milage after its done.

  • @trucker765

Wish it could be done. The computer would shut you down quick. You can thank Maxxforce for making it where you cannot even use water instead of DPF fluid in the tank. They sued when the found out you could get away with that on cummins and detroit engines.

  • im sorry but i am DEFFENITELY a cummins man, but these new "enviromentaly friendly " cummins motor motors are just junk!! they will never replace a k series cummins and of course the n-14

  • I believe Caterpillar maybe planning to come out with new C13,C15 2010 EPA emission engines. Caterpillars New Vocational truck the T660 has a Cat engine, that meets 2010 EPA emission standards, and they are coming out with a T680, that is suppose to come equipped with 2010 emission standard compliant engines, so maybe they will offer On Highway Class 8 motors in the future, at least that may be their plan, just have to wait and see

  • I just finished rebuilding an old 2007 test cell Cummins Isx. :)

  • Thats the piece of junk that replaced the Almighty N14?!?!?!?!?!

  • If it's anything like your "08, stick it in the trash were it belongs!
