  • note that in the clips of people eating, they are eating JUNK! junk food, acid forming foods, dense protein sources are what is killing peoples good intestinal bacteria!! AT THE VERY LEAST eat WHOLE foods and eat them in there most natural state with an OPTIONAL exception of light cooking methods. eat far less protein, and eat grains/legumes in moderation. eat more raw plants. get you GI track functional again, heal and restore those bacteria cultures. you will be amazed at the results.

  • About 40% of people are B12 deficient and less than 5% of people are vegetarians. The problem is, as you age you loose your ability to absorb B12 from food. This is called atrophic gastritis which means the stomach secretes less hydrochloric acid, pepsin and intrinsic factor that are needed to absorb B12. This is very common in older people. All people should take B12 regardless of whether you are a vegan or meat eater. It really is a silly debate when people say vegans are B12 deficient.

  • If vitamin B12 is produced by a certain bacteria, then can vegans(like me) just ingest the type of bacteria that does produce vitamin B12 and get sufficient levels of vitamin B12?

  • @quantumtaoist top comment!! Its not the fact though COOKED animal has unabsorbable b12, its because the b12 in animal products are in a different form which are not absorbable.

    My neighbor who only eats raw meat yet has severe b12 deficiency!

    Raw ORGANIC fruits and vegetables have b12 when you don't compulsively wash them, because soil has b12, a microbial bacteria.
