Some, like Franklin and Washington were against slavery, others like Jefferson were in favour of it. Jefferson even had a sexual relationship with one of his slaves. And although Washington wanted to abolish slavery, he meanwhile spoke of Indians as "savages" and "redskins".

There is NOTHING wrong with the term Latin American. All Spanish/Portuguese speaking American countries are Latin American, including Central America. Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Belize, Guatemala, Nicargua are not in South America so what else are we supposed to call them? Keep your goddamn CIA on a leash!
