Disaster Area are back, this time with an Amiga demo for Syntax Party 2008. Captured off an Amiga 1200 live at the party. This video also launches System of Sound, a new website dedicated to the release of oldskool music styles created by Melbourne musicians.

  • jacobnoergaard: It doesn't use the AGA. Only uses ECS chipset features... if you had enough memory you may just be able to get it running on an A500, but at a serious crawl given the clock speed!

  • It's def not classic style. But smooth routines and is good to see some Aussie action and an active Amiga demoscene in melbourne.

    I have to disagree.

    Watch Silents/Crionics' HARDWIRED to see a classic demo.

    Why ? I presume this prod uses most likely "chunky to planar" technique to build the effects. It's "newschool" effects presented on the Original/Enhanced Chip Set.

    However, it's nice to see action from Down Under

  • Classic Amiga style. Love the Melbourne stuff. :-) It reminds me of CNCD at their best.
