I have the same generator, but it's in a rack with wheels. Heavy beast! But, I have a 300 foot deep well and it runs it easily. In fact, the whole house through the 240 outlet.

Hi I just purchased the same one except mine was painted red. I am having problems keeping it running and finally figured out that the carburetor must suck the gas from the tank and it's not working. I have one of those broken chicago 2200 watt generators and I am going to take the tank off and bolt it to the top of the frame that this one sits in and do gravity feed of fuel. My question to you is how many hours per operation per gallon do you get? Do you get like 3 hours per gallon or 4?

What magic trick do you use to keep the BS engine running smooth? No disrespect, but I have NEVER seen one run that steady.
I would be interested to see what an old digital clock would do plugged in for half hour (poor mans tachometer). 60hz would keep perfect time, less and the clock runs slow, more, etc..

What's up with the new generator sitting right next to the old one ? is the new one not powerful enough ?? lol some times those old battered things are more reliable then the new ones.

Yes, the other one is only 1,000 watts. I was running it to start with until I got the old 4,000 watt Coleman going.

@kb1gni Wow, how well does that old generator put out the electricity ?

@1972FordF150 It did OK, ran everything except my well pump. Couldn't quite put out enough for that.
