thanks alot. im 5'6 , 14 yrs old and im dunkink on 10ft rim my hand gets over the rim. i started this sep 22 2010 and did this every day. now i can finally dunk. finally in a game i dunked.

The calf raises are the most crucial part of jumping, that's all it took me to start dunking. Check out my vertical jump video.

I agree with tilt1981. I think I know the point of doing this, but would like to know the physiological point if there is one :)
Also, why do two feet calf raises when other people focus on one foot?

@serpserpserp By alternating the type of calf raise you do, not only are you working different parts of your feet, ankles, calves, toes, etc...you are decreases the chances of muscle plateau's...Killing two birds with one stone!!
As for single leg...you can do them, but I have noticed when adding these pauses, you get more than enough burn. It's definitely a possibility though.
