i see the belt is not in line very well with the power-steering pulley(a bent or miss installed alternator and bracket is the trouble), the belt is fraying on one side(if you stop your video when the belt is inline the problem is obvious), get a new belt, the noiuse you hear is a vacume leak(probably in the intake hose from the air cleaner, or a bad vacume line)-- sounds like air being sucked past a small crack in a flexible hose-- best wishes--

New cat and exhaust gaskets... now hopefully I'll turn over 300,000 or more without any further issues. By far the best car I have ever owned.
-
also has a bad taping noise or two

@mikec81 idk but the top of the engine was a aluminum manifold whick was the problem due to a crack. these cars are some of the worst shit ive ever seen gm do.

@MrRichierich1990 how did a cracked intake manifold make it leak oil you make no sense
-
its def. an exhaust leak

One of the components like the alternator, A/C compressor or power steering could be wanting to seize if the belt isn't the problem.

my 01 impala did the same thing but i had the 3.8 and it was the AC Compressor
and i had front and rear exhaust manifold gaskets replace and it still done it and then i went to the Dealership n they told me it was the AC Compressor. got that replace and it stopped.
My 2002 Impala 3.4 with 285,000 miles had that same problem. Turned out to be a clogged catalytic converter and a blown exhaust manifold gasket from the excess pressure.

@fedorauser1003 I'm almost 100% positive that was the problem, I sold the car after wasting money trying other repairs. I should have fixed it myself.

Well I had repalced the lower intake gasket & the nosie was still there. I had a mechanic look at it and he thought maybe an spun camshaft bearing...
I sold the car with the problem & as the guy was looking at it I located a bad front manifold gasket, I suspect the cat. converter was partly plugged and blew the metal gasket on the front manifold.
I should have repaired it myself, but I was stick of putting money into it & sold it at a loss.. oh well..

that wasn't it, I replaced the intake gasket & the noise is still there... I'm thinking now it might be the front exhaust manifold gasket

My hubby said it intake leak. It's leaking air. It's not coming in where it is suppose to. He's not sure if that is what it is but that is what it sounds like. Where the intake manifold meets the block. Hope that helps some. Wish you well.

I've had quite a few people tell me that, I've got the upper intake off it now, I'll post an update if/when I find the problem.
