  • his name is actually the greatest

  • RS called himself a 'cymbler' moreso than a 'drummer', but Punk or not I think he was a great rock type drummer. Punk gets a bad rep for supposedly being populated by awful musicians. Not necessarily so.

u faggot me in dat line up

  • When he was in town, Rat used to sit in on drums with us, "the Mark Hannon Blues Band", at our regular Tuesday night gig at the now-defunct "Minstrel's", in Chicago, between 1979 and 1983. Although he wasn't blues drummer in the classic sense, he was a good listener, a quick learner, had good timing, played with great energy, and knew a lot of cool beats. We always looked forward to jamming with him.

  • Philty Animal, Rat Scabies, Keith Moon and Gene Krupa! Those are the greatest drummers in the universe!

  • The ginger Keith Moon!

  • Rat is a great great drummer as well as a bloody good bloke. That whole thing about punks bein crap musicians is shite. For me Rat and Brian James were criminally ignored. Vanian has developed into a quality vocalist too : )
