Check out what lunching Chick-Fil-A customers in the heart of Hollywood California think of gays and gay rights - including crooner Pat Boone. Former Republican presidential contender Mike Huckabee proclaimed August 1st Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day. Why did Huckabee, now a host on the Fox News Network, call for this food holiday? Because the head of the chain, Dan Cathy, had spoken out against marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples based on his interpretation of the Bible, after having contributed to anti-gay causes. But members of the LGBT community and their straight allies, including PETA, held their own demonstration on the street outside to call attention to Cathy's intolerance. Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson informs how gays, along with murderers, rapists and child molesters, are counted as some of the restaurant's customers.

Maybe Chick-Fil-A could include a Bible with every sandwich.
