Yeah lets give people who can't even feed themselves animals to take care of and feed, just so they cal kill and exploit them. How about we just ship poor Africans to shelters to keep the animals company, then kill them when the animals get adopted. It's just as ridiculous of an idea.

@miamimermaids oh shut the fuck up... killing the animals would defeat the whole purpose of this... these animals are supposed to keep on giving... i.e milk...eggs...fertilizer...labor... etc...

The UN is one of the groups backing projects like Heifer Project. Despite all the science showing that animal agriculture is not the effective way to go, Heifer Project continues. Even then UN begrudgingly admits the problem, but instead opts for absurd Rube Goldberg approaches to the problem. What they should be doing is emphasizing plant crops, replacing topsoil and fighting deforestation that leads to desertification. And they also need to ramp up the population control efforts.
