Nick Jonas Love Story Chapter 63 Part 2

"You finally got back? You know everyone was worried about you..." Nick said, trailing off, seeing that I wasn't the happiest with him. "What's wrong?" That sent me off the edge. And with the whole room watching, I flipped. Not literally...

"What's wrong? Nick, everything. All because of you. You know, I've never quite been the same." I said, a little louder than I should've. We were only a few feet apart and I could tell he was starting to get upset too.

"Nicole, I've tried I'm sorry, but nothing seems to make it right!"

"No, of course not! Don't you remember when you left? That one last thing I sad to you? I thought they were going to be my last words, and that's what I wasted me breath on. You."

He flinched and looked around. I looked around at my family watching this too. Joe was watching with wide eyes, along with Desi, who was never around people raising voices. We tried to avoid that with her. I grabbed his wrist, wanting to avoid touching him at all, but needing to get him away. I felt the electricity flow between us still as strong as the first day and I closed my eyes, trying to ignore it. I pulled him upstairs into a guest room. He looked deep into my eyes and a shiver went down my spine. I let go of his wrist and sat down on the bed.

"I miss you, Nicole." I looked into his pleading eyes.

"I miss you too. More than you know.." I said quietly.

"I don't know what I can say to make up for it, but..." Then he paused, closing his eyes.

"But what?"

"We shouldn't get back together..we just can't." I was in shock. WHAT? It shattered my heart all over again. I stood up and was only inches away from his face. I could feel his breath on my face. Suddenly, there was nothing but me and Nick.

Wow. Intense.
But what are they going to do?
And why can't they get back together?
