The powerbands also hit considerably different. I have a YZ426, my buddies ride CRF450 and a YZ450...

My 426 will ALWAYS edge them out (pretty good lead too) in the first 3 gears... which are the gears your always in :)

Plus Chromoly frames don't break when you drop them in trails... Aluminum is tough, but shit does happen.

cheaper, and more reliable, im not this guy, but i got one cuz they are tanks and have the same power as a 450. theres is like 1 hp diff. i got one and it hasnt blown up yet, and its an 02, just rebuilt it a few months ago to be safe.
