Joseph Carrabotta Stretching his ears to 1/2" from 00 Gauge.
EDIT (January 13, 2011) : Hey guys, I would love to thank you all for the views. I realize that this is a stupid video, and the only reason why its still up is because it is my most viewed video. However, I have decided to take down the video soon. I want my YouTube account to be famous for my guitar playing, not stretching my ears. You should watch some of my guitar covers.
Thank you,
~Joseph
EDIT: I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL, SO I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TAKE ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE IN PIERCING. THE INFORMATION BELOW IS WHAT HAS WORKED FOR ME, BUT MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU.
People are having a bunch of controversy in the comments of this video. If you hadn't realized, this isn't an educational video. It's simply to see me stretching my ear to 1/2". If you want education on stretching, you should see another video, with a professional.
However, I will show my knowledge with you.
The Company "Hot Topic" says that the best way to stretch is to stretch one size every 2 weeks. This gives time for your Fistulas (Holes) to heal. Then, you stretch again. If you follow this method, your ears will have a better chance of being perfect, and stretching shouldn't hurt as badly.
Now, I choose to stretch more quickly.
Consequences of skipping sizes...
1. More Pain in Stretching
2. Thin Ear Lobes
3. Blowouts (For extremely huge stretching. Ex: 10ga- 0ga)
4. Damage to Fistulas.
I advise you stick to the method, but if you'd like to be like me, know the risks, and try to keep to stretching to 2 or 3 sizes.
