My other half and I are honest hard working people in our late twenties and still cannot honestly afford a 10% deposit on a property (which is say £15,000 deposit for a very modest property in the South East of England). We both earn fairly good money too!

bible and koran aside greed is greed, logic says dont have what you cant afford...that goes for all aspects of british consumerism...we keep buying rubbish-we dont need it we just think we do...ive started getting rid of all my stuff as it reminds me of a bad habit i am now trying to teach myself...fix and repair not throw away...we should be teaching our kids this as to save our planet we need to stop being so bloomin greedy and superficial :o(

Tax up, prices up, inflation up, unemployment up. What's the government's answer to the overvalued housing market? A shared equity scheme to help first time buyers get things moving again. What's in for the first time buyer? A mortgage they can barely afford (just as interest rates are about to climb), on an overpriced house that's about drop in value. Very soon, interest rates will be creeping up and many could soon face the bailiffs and repossession. DON'T BE SUCKERED INTO DEBT

@1988digital You are a genuis. Where is humanity going. Animals reproduce because they have no real consciousness. We Consciously reproduce, and feed the kids with ego, greed, and throw them into this harsh world. When we die and leave them to their own devices, we do not know their decisions anymore, nor the worlds decision on them. What can we do, really?

We were not ALL greedy and SOME did see it coming. Youtube "Money Geyser" by Max Keiser he's been spot on for years. Debt is slavery, never buy on credit, and stay a free man.
