During a protest against the brutal crackdown of the peaceful demonstrations inside Tibet by Chinese Police and Army the Chinese Flag of the Chinese Embassy in Vienna is removed and the Tibetan Flag is flying.

I don't support (exiled) people who are violent, disobeying the law and disrespecting local law enforcement thinking they can do whatever they want just because they're in a democratic country. Das US-State Department äußerte sich in seinem Jahresbericht über die Religionsfreiheit in aller Welt am 13. September besorgt über den Schutz der grundlegenden Menschenrechte in Tibet:

„Die Kontrolle der Religionsausübung und des täglichen Ablaufs in den Klöstern und anderen religiösen Einrichtungen war weiterhin außerordentlich scharf“, heißt es in einem neuen Bericht über die Religionsfreiheit in Tibet. „Die schwierigen Bedingungen und religiösen Einschränkungen brachten mehrere Mönche soweit, dass sie sich das Leben nahmen“. Weiter hesst es: „Die Regierung zeigte in Tibet so gut wie keinen Respekt vor der Religionsfreiheit“
