Highlights of AmericaSpeaks: Our Budget, Our Economy

3,500 Americans came together from across the country at 57 sites to deliberate about the fiscal challenges facing our nation. Reflecting the rich diversity of our country, participants in the national discussion weighed options to raise revenues and reduce spending in order to put our country on a sustainable fiscal path. At the end of the day, most participants said they were influenced by the views of others and that they learned something. 91% of participants said they were satisfied with the tone and quality of the discussion.
