My Androgyne Theory

My model of what an androgyne actually is. I've found it a useful way of explaining myself to myself, and is where the rest of my comments will stem from.

For some, appearance is important. For myself it's less true.

Some feel they're born male but should've been born female. For myself, I don't feel like "I am a male" OR "I must be female".

I feel my plate is open, I don't have to have just one or the other, or any carefully watched-over, regulated amount of each.

My clothes don't matter to me, just as long as I'm comfortable.

We each make our own choices. Shouldn't blame others for bad choices and should thank ourselves for our successes

I just discovered the word androgyne a couple days ago- so I don't really use it to describe myself - but the way I've explained my situation to people is I tell them I'm fine living with the female body I have right now, yet if I magically woke up tomorrow morning with a male body I'd be fine living that way too.

I think I may be androgyne, not completely transgender. I feel somewhat comfortable being a female physically, but I can't wear girl's clothes or have a male talk to me anymore than a friend without being disgusted.

@orlando098 this is a latin word; don't try to pronounce it as in English! Did u hear of MEA CULPA or of VICE-VERSA? they r from latin language, but english ppl pronounce them in an english style and that's totally wrong!

Thanks for putting your thoughts into words, I do think you're onto something. I was born female, but I've always known I wasn't completely female inside my head. Three years ago, I found Second Life, an online community where it was safe to really explore my sexuality. I tried a female avatar and a male avatar, and neither quite felt right. I finally created an avatar that doesn't really look male or female, and I finally feel like it's right.
