head crash. 0:42, you can clearly hear the heads scratching along the platters, and i spins down to protect itself, then try's again. I have one of these drives. It has 5 or 6 bad sectors though, but they're not used. Good drive though

@zaxtor I think it's around 11-12 years old. It came from a pc that was built in 1999.

@Sanchaz12 when did it fail

@Armaangandevia1 I think the pc was around 10 years old, but I think the HD was already starting to fail when it was 9 years old (much slower response, more noise from HD).

@Watcher3223 The first beep is indeed the POST beep. But the second is, because it's an old pc, a warning because ps/2 keyboard was not connected. Did you know that this pc wasn't working when I got it? I thought it was the power supply, I bought a new one, but even with that it won't boot. A couple of weeks later I needed a pc battery so I took it out of this pc. But it wasn't working, so after all, it was the dead battery that caused the problem!

EDIT: You should see my other video: 'Seagate & Maxtor HDD boot'. Back then the harddisk was working correct, but it also made that noise.
