This is the first few flights of my Wakefield. It is a 45" wingspan rubber powered model. I still had some adjustments to make before it would fly the way I wanted

  • It's over elevated, or has too much down thrust. Set the C of G at 50%.

  • I have added a new video with some better flights of this model.

  • nice model, please give more up and a bit of rudder if u fly on limmited space

  • I had to do a combination of things to get the model to fly correctly. I had to move the wing aft and also angle the prop down. I haven't posted any of the better flights yet. I am suprised with how many views this has been getting.

  • Shore looks goofy to me! But, dem old timers fly soooo good.

  • Flies like a brick. Looks under-powered to me.

  • Also... you need to "set" her into the air by taking a few paces into the wind. Unless it's a design for vertical spiral launching. Just tossing anything with over single digit wingspans is very bad form and extremely maladroit looking, and it's not a ball for crissakes! But keep going, you're learning I hope!

  • I should climb under power. A bit of up elevator trim might do it or a very small increase in the wing angle of incidence. The center of gravity looks okay.

  • needs a little nose up trim...very nice job building it man ! :)

  • man, that looks boring, fly RC.

  • Looks a little nose heavy. Did you lube your rubber motor? A modle like this will fly a long time on 1000 turns.

  • good, but put the elevator a litle bit up when it hapens

  • are you throwing it into the wind? that is what makes it go far. it sucks in the wind and shoots it out faster. it might not go fast if you do it that way but it glides very well

  • u can turn it to an rc airplane!!!!

    it could be very nC
