Whoa ooh oh life is better there!

@keydet5 you are right

I guess it depends where your from like anything else, Most of NYS, PA, and New England are technically in the Appalachian Mountains(Blue Ridge, Allegheny, Allegany(NY) Adirondack, Catskill, Bristols, Green, Taconic, White, Longfellow, etc) and Im sure we say it much different than the folks down south, anyway great song!

cant wait to see them at Telluride Bluegrass this summer!!!

@nicedreams666 I've lived in Tennessee all my life and I thought i knew how to say it too. When i moved to Knoxville for school i learned i was pronouncing it wrong. He is mispronouncing it. It's supposed to have a strong ch sound, not a sh sound.

@musnikki listen to the lyrics.. hes trying to get back!! :)

@keydet5 couldnt it just be hes on a train looking back 40 miles from denver?
-
@kagemusha776 I'm not sure what you mean, I don't live to far from (at least part of) the Appalachian trail, and I've never heard it pronounced any different from the way he said it.

There is a sign just outside of Nederland and Rollinsville CO where some of YMSB live that says "Denver 40". Traveling back to the east coast is about a 26-28 hour drive which takes about 3 days if you're being reasonable. I'm confident to say that traveling out of Ned is where the 40 miles comes from, not the bible.
