I'm doing this on a smaller engine and having trouble putting the cylinder in with the clip. Any tips to make this part easier?

Just a quick tip from a machinist who has to use allen wrenches daily. Sometimes when we get a bolt thats tight or in an awkward place, well get a small metal tube and put it on the short end of the wrench and this way you get lots of leverage and it might be a bit easier than a pair of pliers. But your method obviously works too! I like the videos.

Most engine builders will tell you to install the piston-pin clips with the opening at the bottom. (Did you notice the factory had them installed like that when you took it apart?) There are a couple reasons for this. One is that the up-down motion of the piston can loosen the clip if opening is to either side. The other reason is to allow oil to drain from the inside of the pin easier.

the parts that i am looking at most of them say that they fit both a 51 and a 55 but the 55's have a decompression valve, so how can it fit and work on a 51 aswell?
