The slogan "Truly sustainable" is in focus when planning and carrying out the two events World Cup 2012 and World Championship 2013.
Here are some of the main ideas in our pipeline for reducing the potential environmental impact from the two events:
No visible waste in the regatta area: We will make it easy for both participants and spectators to see where and how to deposit waste. We will set a very high standard for both sorting of waste, and for regular cleaning of the surroundings. To the benefit of both humans and nature
Common transportation for all participants. To the highest possible degree, we will help the participants and their teams to get common transport from their accommodation to the regatta area. This will help to minimize air pollution and reduce the amount of CO2
Food and beverage: We will base all food and drink served and offered in the regatta area on locally and regional produced products. As far as possible, the products will be certified as organic.
Water from local quality source
Any activities regarding sustainability will be experienced as a positive surplus by both participants and spectators.
