That's really interesting Midnight. I don't know anything about this except what I see in movies. You can make conoctions of herbs for health and healing? I always thought that cauldrens were from mideval times only. lol but I guess lots of people use them today. You look so gorgeous and I always love your sweet speaking voice. :))

Great vid- Thank you for mentioning the properties of the different metals... I'd bought an antique, commemorative, RX-style, brass mortar & pestle last year & I had to do some research to find out if I could even use it without it "tainting" my mixtures... I don't think that most people consider the materials that their tools are made of, so that's good that you mentioned that. :)

I broke the rules and am using a clay one. It was a Native American piece that was a gift many years back. When I was looking for a cauldron, I kept coming back to this little clay pot. I have burned many herbs in it and it has a nice sort of glaze on the inside now. Of course, it gets really hot, so I only use it outside and have a litle stand for it also.
I need to try the salt flame, very cool...
