  • Gorgeous, absolutely wonderful music, played on extremely interesting aincent instruments. Pure Heaven, in "blue frocks".

Thanks, from a former Seminarian AND former & current trumpeter - classical, jazz, latino, opera, even the Beatles(!) are in my musical vocabulary!

Love this little slice of "Gabriel's Angel-Food Cake!!!"

  • One can see the evolution of the instruments here... But these sound just perfect. I wonder why they changed.

  • I want to play one of those jaja when trombones slides were dominant!!! >:)

  • @CBordages I believe the two bent at odd angles are sagbutts, common brass instruments during Purcell's time, and the one that is not bent but has a slider is a slide trumpet, another common instrument.

  • de la bonne merde

  • I noticed that some of these instruments have been bent at odd angles. I'm sure there is a reason for this, so if anybody can explain, I would appreciate it.

  • lovely

    esto es adorable!

  • Someone help me pls. I don't know if these are slide trumpets, or some alteration of a trombone. Can someone pls tell me exactly wat are those instruments?

  • Beautiful.

And I love seeing these instruments in action! Very, very cool. Definitely puzzling why these were replaced by valveless instruments for a long time.

  • i really injoyed it.

god bless purcell and those players.
