Shandi Fine in "Nobody's Place Like Home"

Although I also shot regular video this was a set of stills of Shandi Fine performing in the KC Fringe as a member of Kacico Dance. Her tap dance routine was within the Kacico "Song and Dance" project in which Musician/Composers get together with dancers and choreographers to create performance works. This is not the original music, but Shandi is dancing to "Nobody's Place Like Home" by musician Rick Malsick. I did also shoot video of her performance and it has Rick's song on it.

When I shoot dance I never, ever use the motor drive ("C" settings). This is one of a demonstration set showing where/when to shoot dancers. I emphasize selected moments based on subject knowledge - as in, you need to dance to know what and when to shoot as well as what to select. I put them all together in Vegas Pro and created the background music using Sony's Cinescore. Then rendered it in 720-30p wmv.
