The Word, The Beatles, from the Rubber Soul album, 1965.
The original basslines are doubled by Rickinroma employing a Rickenbacker 4001C64S through a 1966 Super Foundation Bass amplifier.
Paul's bass is on the centre/right while Rickinroma's is on the centre/left side of the stereo

  • did paul use a rickenbacker on rubber soul?

  • @BandOnTheRun87

most of Rubber Soul was recorded with the Rickenbacker 4001S

  • Great job, though I'd like to hear a LOT more of your bass in the mix. I'd like to actually hear the unique tone that you produce.

  • @solowbass

If you listen to it using a decent quality headphone you will hear my bass on one side and Paul's on the other one. Just to compare the difference in tone. Glad you liked it.
