This the story of the 1995-1996 Pittsburgh Penguins. Mario and Jagr each scored over 60 goals in the regular season, but the team fell to the upstart Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Finals in seven games.

this has to be the best offensive team the Pens ever had Mario and Jagr each scored 60 goals, Ron Francis centered the line with the two and had 27 goals and tallied 92 assists boy wonder what Francis was thinking one side he has Lemieux and the other side Jagr how would a center like to have those two wingers!! In additon to those three Petr Nedved tallied 45 goals, Tomas Sandstrom had 35 goals, Bryan Smolinski tallied 24 goals also they had Segei Zubov workin the point on the PP. WHAT OFFENSE

ugh, losing to the panthers in the eastern conference finals was the worst moment in penguin history next to losing in 1993 to the islanders. that was such a sweet team to watch.

Wow I forgot that Super Mario and Jagger had 60 goal season and the Panthers still beat them. WOW !! It truly was the Year of the Rat. It took a team of Allstars to beat the panthers like Coloroado. But the Panthers Year of the Rat will Live Forever
