This is a comparison of the Trapster system on a Windows mobile device (Samsung Omnia) and Trapster on a Garmin PND (Garmin 265WT) and the Escort 9500ix Radar detector. All Trapster devices were set at default distance notifications. The Escort 9500ix has no adjustment. This video also indicates the signage placement of the signs associated with the Pima County's Speed Enforcement Zone Until you get fairl close to the signs you can not clearly see the Speed Limit Sign.

  • law states if no speed limit is placed u must go 40mph

  • try going into your alert settings for the GPS device, because it has different choices for what distance you want it to notify you of that "Point of Interest" ,assuming you did a trapster POI export based on your defined radii, and increase the distance?...

    like... 960yards is pretty good....

  • I agree the 9500ix's distance was short, but it takes speed into account, and knows you were going the speed limit. I have seen other demos where it notifies you 300+ feet away. thats still not what I would like, but should give enough time to slow.

  • I agree with the 9500ix's short notification
