I am speaking at the June 16th 2010 Press Conference on Day of Decision 2. There will be a rally at 6th and University on the day the decision by Judge Walker is announced regarding proposition 8. This was an important day for me to speak as Brian and I are celebrating 9 years together today. Thank you to all who attended this conference and all who are fighting for a just world. I am honored to have spoken on behalf of UNITE HERE and am proud to be a member of SAME who is unafraid of speaking out against injustice. May peace and love be in all of your hearts. Until liberation comes!

  • LGBT people in the USA need to follow the example of the gays and blacks under the ANC in South Africa. No freedom without struggle - and certainly no freedom through words, words, words. Fascists do not respond to mollycoddling. You need to hurt them, and hurt them. Freedom takes sacrifice, not sanctimonious speeches - something the GLBT's in America seem to have forgotten with their all-too liberal brainwashing... I mean, education. Civil disobedience now! Grow some balls!

  • @auntiesanity I was speaking to a crowd who at least I know personally some of them HAVE engaged in CD action(s). In fact I was with some of them sitting in at the county clerks office in San Diego nearly a year ago on the day of decision. I'm currently working to plan a CD action here in San Diego in july, maybe you'd like to come show us how it's done or you just talk the talk via the internet like every other loud mouth out there?

  • @Paranoid4areason I do not live in America. I am amember of he African national Congress - the organisation that overthrew the Apartheid regime in 1994 (and which is still listed as a terrorist organisation by your own government).

  • @auntiesanity If they were MY government ANC would not be listed as a terrorist organization. I disagree with 99% of what the U.S. Empire does and I speak about it as well as try and push for higher degrees of resistance. It's hard to push our people to take up more serious forms of resistance but do not judge people like me for speaking out, talk is not the only form of struggle myself or others I know are involved in. Peace and Solidarity comrade.
