  • It would be good to have a passing shot with a rake of wagons.

    At full thrash naturally................

  • @NJPurling I do try for such a shot, but the circumstances always seem to conspire against it!

  • cool! what is the occasion here??

  • Thomas weekend, the 10 was working T&T with thomas on shuttles from Loughborough.

  • D4067 is a Class 10 not an 08? its powered by a Mirlees Blackstone ER6T and has GEC electrical gear, Nice to know what a Class 10 sounds like at long last, Thanks for sharing :)

  • some competition for the MSC Hudswell clarke no 4002

    sounds great

  • @tpvalley Some of the 08-based build. The standard 08s and 09s had EE engines and traction motors; the class 10s Blackstone engines and GEC motors; an unclassified batch had Blackstone engines and BTH motors, and ten more unclassified had Crossley engines and Crompton-Parkinson motors. The reason this one is so noisy is because it runs without a silencer. Otherwise it would sound like an 08.

  • which shunter has the crossley engine?

  • the class 10 now has its rods on, they were hard to get on.
