@AK71love The heavy sound isn't because of the release; it's because of the attack. Fingers don't quite have the control, the grace that Czerny tried to develop and nurture through his specially designed exercises, for example.
Wow! I bet he is practicing so much to be able to play this in 5 months! I learned to play the piano by the Suzuki method also :) If I may give a piece of advice, try to grasp the keys lightly because you're hanging onto them which makes your sound heavy. As you progress into Sonatinas and Sonatas in Book 3 and 4 (for an example the Clementi Sonatina in Book 3) it will become harder to play scales and trills. Keep up the good work!!
