A unique lock system on the Trent-Severn Waterway of Ontario, using a marine railway to transport the boats between the two bodies of water.

  • Here's my take from a different angle:

    Title:

Big Chute Marine Railway, Trent Severn

  • same! I'm on lost channel, where'r u?

  • yeah Wood Bay :)

  • haha totally agree :)

  • you know what I hate? when the friggin tourists forget that there is a road there, and wander all over the road like a lost dog, taking pictures of the marine railway

  • the pros? well Its not a really tough job..all they do is throw you a rope

  • yeah I drive by there on my way to the cottage!! Im at Lost Channell hbu?

  • I go there over ten years in a row, and most Lock hands are good experienced guys, but the Govt makes a mistake letting some young students work there who are brain-dead, sloppy, don't watch lines, and are less than helpful when you boat thru. They look away and you can tell that they don't give a damn about you. You can really tell the pros, from the knobs. My hat's off to the pros, especially the Lockmater at Swift Rapids who is a pro and gentleman and Port Severn where they are top-notch.
