  • Very moving music - an interesting follow up to Sibelius.

Rautavaara is a first rate orchestrator. His music has what I could describe as an oceanic flow. I'm keen to hear more.

  • This is extraordinary

  • Great composer, but i do like the music of Kalevi Aho even more. In my opinion Rautavaara is repeating it's self to much in the last decade.

  • beautiful piece

  • Wonderful!! Thanks for posting!

  • I've just finished my master's thesis on this symphony. It is absolutely pure, unadulterated genius on every level conceivable.

  • amazing, I got to listen to it again, great job!

  • The carol he composed for today's King's College festival is extraordinary.

  • I love the Tubin symphonies. So very thankful that Jarvi recorded them. It was great to have Jarvi bring some great Finnsh and Estonian music to Detroit while he was here.

  • How do you like the symphonies of Estonian Eduard Tubin ?
