  • countertenor has a beautiful voice

  • I do love the sound of a sung low C. The ending to Bruckner's Locus Iste is a classic example. Sung by the right choir, the last 8 bars are truly goose bump material.

  • Just took a look at this video again, now that Stephen has left the group, and I must say KS isn't the same without him. Thank God David (with his incredibly exquisite voice) is still with the group. As the bookends for 20 years, David and Stephen lent a magnificent gravitas and cohesiveness to the group, If David ever leaves, I think I will lose interest in KS.

  • i think its the quality, hes pretty good

  • My pesonel fave is the final note on Swing Low..we've done this a few times as a group and you appreciate what the bass is doing soo much more after this..! Not sure what note but great projection and clarity

  • It sounded to me like the last two or three notes were vocal fry. They just weren't as deep as they should have been -- too throaty. It could be the poor sound quality. I don't know.

  • Agree!

  • love the ending :P

  • yeah my friend talked to him backstage after a concert and he said that he can go a lot lower than that and didn't exactly specify how low, but it's not just how low he can sing, but how well he projects down there. at the concert they had no amplification, and you could hear the one low bass clearly all the time. he's fantastic.
