  • Nascar gets all the credit, then you have sports like this. in nascar you aren't flying at over 250mph all the time at sea level, slamming 10 to 11G Turns, and loops which is painful and can be fatal while flying a complicated aircraft, with extremely responsive controls. you blow a tire in nascar, o well you lost a race, you lose a prop in Air Racing, you may lose your life. this SPORT! is extremely demanding Physically, and mentally. to do this sport you have to have balls and brains!

ooh trust me, i do not disregard the dangers they face, the dangers they face are very real! driving a automobile at over 100MPH on a technical course is never a safe profession, it takes skill and guts, and many safety precautions have to be followed. but to say it is more dangerous, than air racing or aerobatics... is kind of foolish, even Reno air racing is dangerous.

  • @angryace13 i was going to school for Mechanic training but then i got deployed for a 15 month long tour to Afghanistan. i was working on it but got a little held up!!! and yes i understand how dangerous flying those planes is but the way your comment reads you dont take ANY of the dangers that nascar drivers face. i know there are more dangerous forms of racing, like WRC, moto gp, and this but all im saying is that you seemed to disregard the danger they face. thats all im saying!

and yes... i know who Dale Earnhardt SR is! and do you know why he died, if i remember correctly he was not wearing a HANS device? something that could have saved him! also! id like to see you too go into a spin at 200-250MPH just above smashing into whatever is below you and tell me to keep control of a car with a blown tire at 180MPH, in addition you are much more likely to survive losing control of a stock car with a roll cage than a small piston airplane.

aircraft is just as much a brain aspect, you don't just have a Tachometer, Oil pressure gauge, Fuel gauge. you have a, Altimeter, Vertical speed indicator, speedometer, bank indicator, turn indicator, G force gauge, and many other instruments you have to read and you better be able to read them in seconds, like a car you have to tune a plane and set it too the pilots likings, there is not just forward backward and turning, but pitch and yaw as well!

i dont know anything about cars? I am a certified Mechanic and have been going too school for almost a entire year! are you certified? you also need to feel the plane too, if the engine is not tuned right the aircraft will not function properly, if the trim is not set correctly "like a car alignment" the aircraft will not fly correctly, if the slightest thing is set wrong, even more so than a car, catastrophic results can accrue.

  • lol just imagine being in the back seat (if there was one)

  • @angryace13 also on the "brains" aspect. i guess you dont know a thing about cars in general. there are a ton of things that can be changed about a nascar at each pit stop. like tire pressure, steering, suspension, downforce... i could go on and on. if the car doesnt handle well you lose the race. change it too much and it hurts. the driver needs to feel the car and know what should be changed in order for him to win. nascar is a big team and "brains" sport, you just need to see it!!

  • @angryace13 id like you to try nascar and see how long you last!!!! yea they may not hit 10gs but they last hours not mins. you blow a tire at 180mph and id like to see you keep the car under control. those cars can flip and hit a wall or be hit by another car that doesnt know they crashed and someone is dead. i guess you dont know who Dale Earnhardt SR is? he crashed into a wall and died. also how many people do you fly with? none!! there are 40+ other cars you have to battle with.

  • red bull gives you wings!!!!!
