Well, just like any amp, you have to play with it a lot to get the sound you want out of it. I've had mine for over a year and I'm just now figuring out what sounds I like. It is a very nice amp for clean sounds and I just got a tube screamer and I don't have to floor the gain anymore, but the gain on its own is useful. As for the headphones, I'm not sure what you are using it for, but the overdrive can get kinda harsh through the jack. Ask if you have more questions. Thanks for the comment!
