Here is a junction from Thames Television in 1988. It starts with the end of a Walt Disney special, "Down and Out with Donald Duck", follows with a trailer for Dramarama, "Bank Holiday Monday" programme slide for the US TV movie "International Airport" voiced by Philip Elsmore, and ads for Oracle teletext, McDonalds, Nestlé Milkybar Buttons, Nescafé, New Ariel wasing powder, Kellogg's Start cereal, Bird's Angel Delight voiced by Hugh Laurie, Clarks trainers, and the Fiat Uno. After the ads, a trailer for the ITV Telethon '88, and the Thames ident voiced by Elsmore leading into the film.

I think this is from Monday 2nd May 1988.

  • I'm posting to commemorate the fact that it was 20 years ago today that this was broadcast - my and it's my favourite "end of tape" find!

  • I don't believe it. I look away from YouTube a couple of days, and my most popular (with other users) videos' comments are filled with spam messages!!! (I've just deleted them all).

  • This is great

  • Thanks. I originally found this towards the end of a tape in the late 90s, before my enthusiasm for this kind of stuff had not yet been cememented. So, when my fascination for old continuity/adverts etc. was established, I remembered that I had this!

  • please upload what continuity and adverts you have.

    thanks.

  • I'll do my best, but be warned I'll be a bit slow.

  • Sarah Greene doing a coffee ad. Lol

    Dont seem that long ago

  • I haven't seen those adverts since they were on TV back then in 1988, but it seems like only yesterday, I remember some of them so vividly...weird!

  • LOL, can't believe it's the Daisy Duck Dance at the start! That is so random, I still get teased by my mum and sister because I saw this as a kid and got up and started doing the Daisy Duck dance where she does the side to side pointy thing after seeing it on TV and I'm 30 now!

  • bet that fiat is worth about £150 nowadays on ebay lol

  • MY god, can you imagine the uproar now if they showed the cartoon of donald duck smoking with a holder... lol

  • That Fiat is fucking shit!

  • @mononokehime316uk My sister was four years old on the 2nd May 1988! Very ironic!

  • "I say , what happened to Number Six?" "I think he's a bit chicken" LOL great advert that one and well worth the memory!
