  • @GeorgiaBoy1961 ,

    Thanks.

  • @greekflatpicker: Joe is using nothing more than some delay, reverb and compression; the rest of it is him and the guitar. He's rolled off some of the treble and is playing a lot on the front pickup, too. He changes pickups to change his tone, also varies his attack.

  • I have absolutely loved this performance by Joe and bassist Kjell Benner ever since I first heard it about fifteen years ago. Has it ever been released as an mp3 or one any of Joe's CDs? I'd love to buy a copy of it, but so far, the only place I have ever seen it is on this instruction tape. Wonderful performance, and one of the best imitations of a steel guitar on std. 6-string I have ever heard. What Joe is doing is very tough, but he is making it sound easy.

  • Fantastic as Always!

  • Shut up kayla

  • MR. DALTON IS MY CHORUS TEACHER LOLOLOL

  • Super! These steel-licks are unbelievable !

  • Reminds me of Roy Lanham- one of the greats but not very visible on YouTube- a great shame.

  • What's that reverb/delay effect?

I want to get his sound

  • Yeah! Smooth picking
