here's a demonstration of how you can make wicked crazy Dr Who terror sounds with it. this thing is incredible. maybe i should keep it.

this would be me playing the Prophet 10, to demonstrate that it works for the purpose of purchase. if i were to demonstrate its sound i would have recorded the sound better.

  • go back to your akai mpc or better yet your electribe esx. producer. ha.

  • @Phisheadie97 look, asshole, i gig with more analogue gear than you do and i actually put my ass on the line with it, my music is freely available.

this was a demonstration of a keyboard which did not belong to me which i was brokering the sale of for my friend Matt because he was in dire financial straits at the time. i did not own it, and maybe if you put as much effort into reading as you do to watching U-Toob you would have known that from the video description.

  • thanks a lot thie shittiest sounds and shittiest video I've ever heard/seen on youtube. Congratulations on turning one of the greatest analog beasts of all time into ebay dime store noise box.

  • @Phisheadie97 it's easy for you to do a bunch of drugs and listen to crunchy grooves on U-Toob and get pissed because some Suit & Tie Guy harshes your mellow with some alien nightmare sounds, but some of us actually make music and contribute to western culture. stop being a consumer and see if you have the balls to be a producer and then get back to me mkay?

  • Is it also possible to make music with this thing?

  • @Sturzi yes!

  • why is it that 9 out of 10 vids on here of old synths are people making sounds that are more irritating than fingernails on a chalkboard?

  • @pen64 there is a difference between noise/chaos and controlled noise/sound design. Anyone can turn a bunch of knobs blindly and make crazy sounds on a synth (I do it all the time on my synths - analog and digital) but the real skill is in still having control over the noise. Like Autechre for example.

  • What is with you Idiots? Noise is what it's all about. A Generation raised on Samples and Loops and look what happens. My bet is you wouldn't know how to even approach an Analog Board, much less operate it.

  • Failures...? What failures? I don't see any– ah, wait a minute.... The failures are those assholes who don't appreciate the FX sides of classic synths, and these are the same assholes who sit around sampling anything and everything, including classic synth sounds... >.>

  • incredible asshole comments here --- if you do not understand that he he shows the depths of it´s features and the quality of the oscillators, why are you here at all ?--- if you only want presets with filter twiddling, there are loads of vidoes doing exactely this!

  • Whatever your intentions were, the video is a dissapointing FAIL, as people looking to hear the sounds of an absolutely classic synth are subjected to this utter shite!

  • bla bla bla. this is the FX part of this synth demonstration. and the other one has got very very cool sweeps which are playing very nice man!!! thanks alot for this cool demonstration suitandtieguy. love it!

  • why is it that i like videos like this, and most of the people just want to hear the typicall shit they allready heared to much in the 80s ?

  • I expected to hear bread and butter polysynth stuff but was pleasantly surprised by someone showing some creativity and taking the synth into some different places - thanks and nicely done!

To the folks ranting about the sounds, please consider finding videos you do like instead of posting about ones you don't. Better for your blood pressure.
