. The choice activity at Cuverville turned out to be sitting on the cobble beach. Many of us spent as much as two hours just sitting and watching life at this gentoo penguin colony LITERALLY stroll by. Some of us also took a hike up a ridge behind the cobble beach to a vantage point where we could take in the penguin colony and the stunning scenery surrounding it.
