  • Barbecue Bob rocks! It sounds like he's playing a twelve string...12 string slide, magical sound. His voice is really nice, relaxed and natural and his playing is beautiful, fluid. Anyone know anything about this great musician. Thanks for the posting. I look forward to exploring yet another great obscure blues man.

  • This brand of blues is underrated, everybody wants to talk about the delta blues. It was great but these blues are just as good!

  • Thanks for upload!!

    Greetings from Germany

  • this is legendary

  • wow... all i can say.

  • he did some recording with his cousin "laughin' Charlie

  • His real name was Robert Hicks and he operated a street barbecue stand in Atlanta Georgia in the late '20s, early '30s... hence his nickname..and used to sing and play 12 string to attract customers

  • @cottageorgan Well it's known that he was a cook, and the reason why I think he's awsome is his play's at a steady tempo with a lot of power, he also covers a few blind willie johnson (gospel blues) tunes and that's always awsome

  • good musician, catchy songs.

  • as i listen 2 this song (and others by him) i can feel what he means.
