Not as easy to get video then as it is now. I was 16 at this show and I don't think I even had a cell phone yet!! Wish I had it to do all over again. Had a great time seeing Furthur recently though.(~);)
@JEH78 yea I rember now the loud boom I was also there ...I now rember that my friend ahd a doberman pincher that got lost and his name was Dylan,so I was running around yelling Dylan ,Dylan and peeps were cheering ..
Ok I was there..... and it did NOT rain. Terrible video that this is...my memories of Bruce playing Accordion throughout the show ...the way Jerry and bruce were laughing together watching Dylans set....the mint 62 White Impala that was parked in the wrong place at a funnell exit for very crazy deadheads running right over it and the dude on the skate board cooler with dog pulling it selling st pauli girl beer stand out.
$50 back then for Dylan and The Dead. Went to this show with my dad and had pretty good seats. Dylan was far better then than he is now. The Dead were ok however it's memorable because it was the last time I got to see them and how fitting that Brokedown Palace, one of my favorite Dead songs closed out the show. I thought the kid got struck by lightning the at the 6/24 RFK show. 6/25 was hot/sunny because I recall bitching that I forgot my sunglasses.
I am proud to say that I was there! I dont see how anyone that has had the pleasure of seeing the Grateful Dead live can say that it sucked! Bob Dylan opened, he wasnt that great, but it was still cool to see him there..Ironically, a kid got struck by a lightening bolt in the lot...of all places to get struck by lightening. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to see Jerry live! R.I.P Jerry
@glyn420 happy to be on stage.Maybe i was spoiled with the late '70's when i got on the road back when tickets were $9 bucks or jerry would do 2 shows an early and late show and tickets were $7.50 for both. When the dead played college's and you got a student to get your ticket and it was $5.00 bucks that was what the grateful dead meant to me,when you saw a small group of the same people at 10 out of the 12 shows on that tour. when you could get clean liquid and some bud by some happy to share.
@glyn420 as dark star. Did you ever look up at garcia and his hands were moving like he was strumming his guitar but no sound was comingout? Did you ever look up at him and see him resting his arms on his guitar mid-song? Bro during the '90's no disrespect to stella blue but i would rather seen stella than morning dew what does that tell ya? And i loooved stella blue.If you wanted to see jerry happy the garcia band was the place he smiled he played they way i was used to him playing he was
@glyn420 First off i cannot listen to anything from the '90's let alone '95 so that alien stuff will be unknown to me. I was at like 7 of the 10 shows you listed and god knows i am ashamed to admit that. But it looks like you got off on the song that used to be dark star, bro there is not even 1 respectable dark star with vince welnick not 1 most of them were about 9 minutes long,i saw birdsong's that were longer china cat>rider,half-step,playin's,shakedowns all longer than the song formerly
