  • It's a pity this report doesn't go deeper into the ideological hypocricies that plague the political structure of the UN generally. It goes a long way in explaining a lot of things that go wrong with peacekeeping missions.

  • One saying I've heard in this life, is that "Someone is responsible for a crime, if they choose to do nothing." Another saying is that there are three kind of people in the world: the sheep, the wolf, and the sheep dog. The sheep follow each other and do whatever the other does. The sheep dog makes sure that the sheep are safe. The wolf intentionally causes harm to the sheep. Tell me, which one of these are you in this situation...If you think you're the sheep dog, you might have serious problems.

  • just because your man and dad have broken up don't wish that on everyone congo will never be broken congolese are verry pride people just going throug hard time congo will never be rwanda or ouganda we think low of them they are rapist killers. shame on you to sugest that why don't you splite your mami and day up that will be funny want it you father less asshole

  • RDC should be broken up into smaller countries.

  • As for atrocities, they're happening ALL OVER THE WORLD not just in the Congo. When will the UN hold Israel or the US government accountable? Besides the UN cant really do anything about it. If they fire on death squads they will make a situation worst. All they can do is watch. They should just leave.

  • That's true but I've noticed that the main supporters of the UN are largely European. I know that NATO is very European, and I believe these "peacekeepers" do more harm than good. Beside some of these peacekeepers were charged commit crimes in these countries themselves.

  • What do you propose instead of UN peacekeepers were to go ahead? I'm afraid the women of rural Congo would face an increased to rape and having their familes torn apart. Also, labeling the peacekeers as Europeans is inaccurate as the programme shows missions from India, Pakistan and Guatemala, quite international and not just European.

  • Myanmar (Burma) gang of criminal military personals have also rape thousand of women and killed. I think Burma has far more greater refugees or IDP than that of Congo. I feel very bad for those who are suffering continuosly for no reasons of their own.

  • The UN "peacekeepers" has no business being there and will NOT help the situations. They should go home. Europeans should MIND there business. When will people realize that sending troops into other people countries will NOT solve the problems there?

  • no, i think they are saying you are a racist because you implied it would be okay to let them kill themselves off..that is a racist comment..i know you are probably a compassionate person, but the solutions you propose are not indicative of it.
